Answers to your financial questions about adoption, plus grants, tax credits, loans, and budgeting help for the fees involved.

Adoption counseling

Professional adoption counselors for grief and loss from infertility, a failed adoption match, or help with a hard decision.

Questions

What adoptive families ask us first.

Straight answers. Call us for anything not covered here.

What is a home study?

An assessment of your home and family, including background checks, interviews, a home visit, and finance and health reports. A licensed provider must complete it before a child is placed with you. We complete home studies for Florida residents and help out-of-state families find a provider.

How much does it cost to adopt in Florida?

Fees vary, so contact us for current pricing. Adoption grants and fundraising can help.

How long does an adoption take to finalize?

Typically 4 to 6 months after legal placement, though some cases take longer. You'll get a tentative finalization schedule at placement.

When do we take placement of the child?

Legal placement happens after the birth parent or parents sign the consent to adoption.
